We were all sad when Dough Bakery closed its doors last month (long live the Dive Bar!). One of the most common questions I have received since I started The Kitchen was whether or not I would offer vegan breakfast biscuits like they had in the grab-and-go cooler. I am happy to announce that YES, you will soon be able to order breakfast biscuits with a variety of topping options. The biscuits are the result of several years of work, but my recipe yields a biscuit that is every bit as flaky and melt-in-your-mouth as a buttermilk biscuit while being totally dairy, egg, and cruelty-free.
